Net a 3 percent fee out of an AWS Data Exchange price, and sell large contracts as private offers

AWS Marketplace charges a 3 percent listing fee on public AWS Data Exchange offers (the same as SaaS, against 20 percent for server products such as machine images and containers). On private offers the fee falls with the contract: 3 percent under $1M, 2 percent from $1M to under $10M, 1.5 percent from $10M, and 1.5 percent on every renewal. It is worked out on the pre-tax total contract value, and these rates took effect on 5 January 2024; a buyer in South Korea adds 1 percent from 1 April 2025. AWS disburses monthly to the seller's bank account minus its service fees, on a rolling cycle set by the day the seller account was created, and only once it has collected from the subscriber.
