Meta Terms for WhatsApp Business Platform: a business may not share, sell or license its WhatsApp Business Platform Data to third parties, even anonymised or derived (Meta Terms for WhatsApp Business Platform (last modified 23 September 2026), section 4.1(b) (Restrictions))
A business that sends and receives WhatsApp messages through the Business Platform (the API, usually run by a solution provider) agrees not to sell or license the data it gets from the platform to anyone but its solution provider, including anonymised, aggregate or derived forms. A licence of those chats to an AI buyer is what this clause forbids.
