Records / Negotiation levers

A data product earns by selling the same records to many buyers and refreshing them; none of its sellers prices exclusivity

Every data product seller read for this run (18 on their own pages, AWS or Datarade) sells the same records to any buyer, mostly on subscriptions that keep the data fresh. Bright Data's dataset plans cut the price per delivery by up to 80% for monthly refresh; Lead for Business charges $9,999 a year against $6,999 for one copy; CompCurve sells its 50M-company database only as a $3,000 monthly or $30,000 yearly licence; Coresignal says records are updated daily, weekly or monthly. None of the price pages or listings read shows an exclusive version or a price for one. Where a data market does sell exclusive and shared versions of the same record (consumer leads), a seller's own guide says the label is not standardised: sold to one buyer ever, exclusive only within one vendor's customers, or exclusive for a window such as 72 hours and resold afterwards; once aged and shared, the same leads sell for $0.25 to $4.50. The realised price of these products is a yearly subscription: Vendr's purchase records give medians of $7,950 (BuiltWith) to $37,826 (Similarweb) a year, with ZoomInfo at $33,500 over 1,578 purchases.
