Records / Negotiation levers

Data anyone could scrape or compile sells by the record near what re-making it costs; a company's own records are priced as a whole

Scraped and compiled data products sell non-exclusively by the record for fractions of a cent to a few dimes. A public professional profile costs $0.004 to scrape to order (Apify, HarvestAPI) and is resold at $0.0005 (Lead for Business, 380M profiles, usage rate) to $0.39 (Coresignal's smallest plan); Bright Data streams a crawled web page for AI training at $0.0002 and sells packaged records from $0.0025. Whole databases of hundreds of millions of profiles list at $6,999 to $26,000 one-off and $1,070 to $360,000 a year. Against that, one small company's own operating records are offered as a whole: Handshake AI's calculator shows up to $100,000 for a 20-person company with 5 tools and 3 years of records (it showed $100,000 to $296,551 for 20 people and 3 years on 11 October 2026, before it changed engine), and Corpus Bridge's illustration values 3.76M emails, messages, tickets, files, invoices and workbooks at $152,700, about $0.04 an item, which is 16 times Bright Data's packaged record and 80 times the 380M-profile usage rate.
