Where a sample is sold, it is a paid, random draw of one item and earns the buyer no discount on the full lot
DataVendor, the one marketplace on the board that publishes its sample rules, sells a sample as a small purchase it chooses for the buyer: one environment drawn at random plus one task that runs on it, at a sample price the vendor sets, one per listing per buyer team. The buyer cannot choose what it contains, and the sample does not discount the full purchase. Only tasksets with at least two runnable tasks can be sampled.
