WhatsApp Terms for WhatsApp Business App: no scraping or extracting data, and no applications that interact with the app without WhatsApp's written consent (WhatsApp Terms for WhatsApp Business App (effective 23 September 2026), Acceptable Use, items (f) and (g))
The terms that replaced the WhatsApp Business Terms on 23 September 2026 contain no ban on licensing chats, but they bar scraping or extracting data from the app and using third-party tools that interact with it without WhatsApp's written consent. A business exporting its chats should use the app's own Export chat.
