Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, collection and no profit from biometric data (740 ILCS 14/15(b)-(c))

No business may sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from Illinois residents' biometric identifiers, such as voiceprints and face geometry, and the text gives no consent exception for that. A buyer also needs a written release before it obtains them, so voice or face data tied to Illinois residents is close to unsellable.
