Connecticut electronic monitoring notice law, as amended in 2026 (Conn. Gen. Stat. 31-48d(a)(3), (b)(1), as amended by Public Act 26-73 (effective October 1, 2026))

Connecticut requires prior written notice (a conspicuous posting counts) of the types of electronic monitoring, and since 1 October 2026 also of where on the premises it occurs, plus a plain-language statement for new hires; the Labor Commissioner enforces (penalties $500, $1,000, $3,000; no private action under the prior text). Like New York, it is a notice-of-collection rule: it does not authorise or regulate licensing the collected messages, so it is a precondition, not a permission.
