California Delete Act, accessible deletion mechanism (DROP) duties from August 1, 2026 (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.99.86(a), (c)(1)(A), (d)(2))

Since August 1, 2026, every registered data broker must pull the state's deletion list at least every 45 days, delete the listed consumers' data within 45 days, and stop selling their new data. The duty reaches the broker's service providers and contractors, not a buyer that already holds the data, but a broker's future supply excludes everyone on the list.
