Who buys call centre recordings for AI training, and what do they pay?

AIData.Broker represents the companies and people that hold call centre recordings when they sell to AI labs: we value what they hold against public prices, describe it without their name to every buyer that takes it at the same time and help negotiate the terms. Our fee is 12% of the first $250,000 a sale pays, and nothing if no sale closes.

Recorded customer calls with their transcripts, outcomes and agents' notes. Voice agents learn from them how real customers speak and how a conversation is resolved.

The short answer · figures from the market's records, last reviewed 30 Oct 2026

Who buys call centre recordings for AI training, and what do they pay?

Voice-agent and speech-model companies. Mercor's listing for call centres and BPOs asks for an archive of recorded customer conversations, ideally in more than one language, and prices one by its hours and languages; real, redacted US support calls with transcripts are listed at $24,500 per dataset of 1,000 hours on Opendatabay; and research catalogues sell older telephone conversations, such as Switchboard at $3,000 for about 260 hours from the Linguistic Data Consortium. Recordings made for a client are the client's to license too, and what callers were told decides the rest.
